Light

Painting vases and capturing the way light can wrap around them or how the water inside is also responding to the light but in a different way than the glass of the vase. How do you separate things that both appear to be white to the eye? Vision is notoriously fraudulent. We see so little of reality. And in this case, what I am referring to is that what we do see, we experience as a feeling, and thus the numerous details have been muddled together. There is quite a bit of clutter. Now the challenge is to peel the bits apart. Like the creation of a hologram, there is a lot of subtracting and comparing. One by one, I remove the elements in the clutter of light reflections I have added to the vase, to figure out which bit is the one holding the information needed to inform us that this vase is 3 dimensional.
